Alan Cuzen

Alan Cuzen writes funny, warm-hearted picture books about grumpy cats, chatty seagulls and the friends who turn up when you least expect them.

The Barnaby of Bramble Bay series began with one simple idea: what if the grumpiest cat by the sea slowly — very slowly — discovered that kindness is worth it? Every book is written to be read aloud, with big sound effects, silly voices and a little lesson tucked inside.

Barnaby is still not a sweet cat. But he’s getting there.
